Product Description

Note, before building, estimate the length and height of gate.  The cross arm length is adjustable and an additional cement base may be required if terrain is not the same height as road.

Directions:
1). Using a fine file and 400 grit sandpaper, remove seams on castings.
2). Paint all metal parts flat engine black (NGM-I910), except counterweight mating surfaces (inside and out).  Paint housing base concrete (NGM-I916)
3). Sandwich gate housing between two counterweights. Test for fit and glue using Gel CA.
4). Sand all wood parts and prime (Kilz used). When dry, sand again and paint again.
5). Cut gait arm wood (1/32″ x 3/16″) and arm extension wood (1/32″ x 3/32″) to desired length.
6). Cut 1/16″sq. wood to 7/32″ long.
7). Glue 1/16″ square piece to first crossing arm at 1-3/8″ point using yellow wood glue. Glue second cross arm in the same manner.
8). Glue 1/32″ x 1/16″ cross braces in place; one on top, the other the bottom. Once dry. use a sharp box knife cut angles.
9). Drill small hole cross arm support (eye pin) which is held in place with a standard pin. Once standard pin is insert, cut to length.
10). Touch up all paint as needed on cross arm.
11). Apply paper strip to cross arms; painting is optional.
