BEST PRACTICES:
- Tool is HOT when on. Do NOT touch tip with bare fingers.
- Avoid using sprue cutters when detaching 3D printed parts, particularly fine and fragile parts. For larger parts that are more robust, a rotary grinder/burr attachment (ultra fine) can be used to remove large sprue components (printing base) and then use TK639 for clean-up work.
- Best used with tempered glass mat.
- Use masking tape to affix stand to mat.
- Carefully attach knife point and only tighten with pliers.
- Let knife do the work, do not press hard.
- Clean residual marks with 0000 steel wool; wear safety gloves.
- Always turn off tool when not in use and unplug from power source.
- For final part finishing, use ‘fine’ sand paper or file.
- Always wear safety glasses.
